Kent County Maryland Government Substance Abuse Prevention. The Kent County Prevention Program provides services for youth, parents, and other citizens of Kent County. The staff collaborates with many other agencies and organizations to coordinate and implement projects and activities that address substance abuse among youth. Alcohol diversion classes are held for first-time offenders (ages 18 – 20). Referrals for this class come from the court. The Kent County Behavioral Health Prevention Office knows that most of our teens do NOT drink or use other drugs, and we want to support our youth in these choices. We are asking local youth to tell us why they choose not to drink or use other drugs, as part of our student-led prevention campaign titled, “Most Kids Don’t.
